Short introduction:
Qendrim Zebeli has a veterinary degree, a M.Sc. in Animal Production, and holds a PhD and an advanced PhD (“Habilitation”) in the field of Animal Nutrition from the University of Hohenheim, Germany. He was appointed Professor of Animal Nutrition and head of the Institute of Animal Nutrition and Functional Plant Compounds at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna on October 2010. So far, Prof. Zebeli has authored more than 120 peer-reviewed papers and supervised 10 PhD students and 8 Postdocs. He teaches Animal Nutrition and Dietetics and has an extensive experience in the successful management and supervision of multidisciplinary and international research projects. His research interests are in the interface between nutritional physiology and health of ruminants with particular emphasis of rumen health in dairy cattle. Prof. Zebeli is a co-founding member and actual Head of the interdisciplinary research cluster “Animal Gut Health” at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna.
