Presentation title: Nutritional effects on inflammation in dairy cows: protection or promotion?
Dr. Drackley is Professor Emeritus from the Department of Animal Sciences at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His research program focused on nutrition and metabolism of dairy cows during the transition from pregnancy to lactation, fat utilization and metabolism, and aspects of calf nutrition and management. Dr. Drackley has published extensively, supervised more than 45 graduate students to MS or PhD degrees, and received numerous professional awards. Drackley is widely sought by the global dairy industry for speaking and consulting services. He served on the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine committee to prepare the 8th edition of Nutrient Requirements of Dairy Cattle.
